PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To diffuse a streak-like density irregularity of a junction part at an end part of a recording nozzle array by arranging a banding pattern table for use in complementary printing, and a means for judging whether recording is carried out at an (n) time or printing is carried out at an (n+k) time on the basis of data of the banding pattern table. SOLUTION: An ink-jet recording apparatus is constituted of a recording head having a plurality of nozzles arranged in a sub scan direction and a means for moving a recording medium in the sub scan direction. In this case, when a distance between the recording nozzles is D, an area printed at the time of an (n) main scan ((n) is an integer not smaller than 1) and an area printed at the time of an (n+k) main scan ((k) is an integer not smaller than 1) are partly overlapped by interlace recording whereby the distance D is main scanned by (k) times ((k) is an integer not smaller than 2). The overlapped area is complemented at either the (n) time or the (n+k) time in the ink-jet recording apparatus. |
