<p>The invention relates to the field of immunology, more specifically to the field of immune-mediated disorders such as allergies, auto-immune disease, transplantation-related disease or chronic inflammatory disease. The invention provides an immunoregulator comprising an active component having an apparent molecular weight of 58 to 15 kilodalton as determined in gel-permeation chromatography, said active component capable of stimulating splenocytes obtained from a non-obese diabetes (NOD) mouse, said stimulated splenocytes delaying the onset of diabetes in a NOD-severe-combined-immunodeficient mouse reconstituted with said splenocytes, or comprising an active component functionally related thereto, for treatment of immune-mediated disease.</p> |
