PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the energy efficiency by effectively utilizing outdoor dry air. SOLUTION: This clothes dryer efficiently drys clothes contained in a drying container 7 by controlling with a control means 10 selecting either of the following courses in operating an air blowing part 15 for flowing outdoor air into the drying container 7 constituted of transparent panels 14 which transmit solar light, receiving detected information of a temperature and humidity detecting means 13 for detecting outdoor temperature and humidity, only the air blowing means is to be operated throughout the drying process, both the air blowing means and a heating means are to be operated throughout the drying process, or only the air blowing means is to be operated for the first half of the drying process and both the blasting means and the heating means are to be operated for the second half of the drying process.
