During annealing the product heating stage is interrupted by at least one further holding stage, resulting in a stepped increase of the temperature with time. The apparatus including a zone for inductive heating of the product and a zone for holding it at the end temperature has a holding zone (3a,3b) which interrupts the inductive heating zone (2a,2b). |
