PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select an optimum information among a plurality of kinds of information to record images by preparing the plurality of kinds of information for determining a recording agent for use in recording in conformity with an image density. SOLUTION: A plurality of ink-jet head units having inks of different densities are provided. An overlap record information of inks of different densities is stored in an ink kind distribution table 4b correspondingly to image densities. A predetermined image is printed to a recording medium with the use of a plurality of kinds of the overlap record information (S1). A density of the printed image is measured (S2). Based on the measured image density and a pixel value of an original image data, an optimum record information is selected from the plurality of kinds of the overlap record information stored in the ink kind distribution table (S3, S4), and a record information for recording the image is generated by using inks of different densities with the use of the selected record information. |
