The transmission system allows the number of a caller connected in a mobile communications network and encoded data, e.g. speech data, to be transmitted to a subscriber of an integrated services digital network, for providing a calling line identification presentation. Pref. the caller identification information is transmitted to the integrated services digital network subscriber via the initial access message fed to the latter from the exchange.
