PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent noise when a blank being conveyed is folded automatically. SOLUTION: In the blank folding apparatus of an automatic box making machine for folding a blank automatically around a fold 2 on the front fringe side of a blank 1 formed in the direction crossing the conveyance direction by hooking a hook 5 to the front fringe 1a of the blank 1 during the conveyance of the folded box blank 1 in which a fold is formed at a prescribed position in advance, a sensor 6 for detecting the front fringe of the blank being conveyed and a lift part 7 for lifting a front side plate 1b located between the front fringes from the fold of the blank being conveyed are provided. The collision part 5a of the hook 5 which hooks the front fringe of the blank is positioned above the conveyance passage of the blank 1, and the lift part 7 lifts the front fringe 1a of the blank 1 to the position of the collision part 5a of the hook on the basis of the detection of the sensor 6. |
