<p>An aqueous bath for electroplating zinc includes a soluble zinc salt, a soluble electrolyte and a surface active agent formulation. The zinc salt and electrolyte provide ammonium and chloride ions and the surface active agent formulation is based upon a nonionic block copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide. In some instances, the block copolymer may be utilized alone, in other instances, it is used in combination with an N-(alkyl sulfonyl) glycine compound. Other surface active agents and brighteners are advantageously employed in connection therewith, and the bath may be operated at a pH of 3.0-6.3.</p> |
