PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a tissue sealant capable of promoting hemostasis and cure of wound of skin and internal organs, endodermis formation by a vascular protease, in-vitro adhesion activities of an animal cell such as an endothelial cell and a fibroblast, and adhesion and cohesion of platelets. SOLUTION: This tissue sealant is obtained by adding carboxymethylcellulose of a polyvalent carboxymethyl ether of a cellulose to a sealant containing a fibrin. The fibrin is formed by allowing a thrombin to act on a fibrinogen when using the fibrin. The carboxymethylcellulose includes its sodium salt. The carboxymethylcellulose has 1.0 substitution degree of carboxy group and contains 8.5 wt.% sodium salt. The carboxymethylcellulose is the one having a lower molecular weight caused by the irradiation of electron beam, and having 200-2,000 kDa molecular weight. |
