VITAMIN K1 COMPOSITION AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject noncaking solid composition having excellent preservative stability by using zein as a base. SOLUTION: This composition contains vitamin K1 and zein (α-type or that containing α-type as a major component) and is characterized by being a noncaking solid at ordinary temperature. This vitamin K1 composition can be produced by means of mixing zein with a raw material of vitamin K1 in a weight proportion of more than equivalent quantity based on vitamin K1 in the solution state followed by drying the resultant solution. In is particularly favorable to be carried out by the process that zein is dissolved into hydrous ethanol, hydrous propanol or hydrous acetone in high concentration, the raw material of vitamin K1 is mixed with the solution and the resultant solution is dried.
