<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfactorily absorb shocks in a simple configuration independent of the weight of an exercising person. SOLUTION: This device has a frame 12, first and second roller assemblies 14 and 16 mounted onto the frame 12, an endless belt 18 wound around the first and second roller assemblies, a deck 20 arranged between the frame and the upper running part of the endless belt while having first and second terminal parts, a rotating connector for linking the second terminal part of the deck to the frame so as to freely turn it around an axis almost orthogonal to the length of the deck, and at least one long spring arranged between the frame and the deck while being located between the first and second terminal parts of the deck. The spring supports the deck together with the rotating connector and absorbs shocks applied to the deck by the exercising person.</p> |
