<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a honeycomb body which can fully display the characteristics of a functional sheet by combining a corrugated netting with a planar functional sheet or a corrugated functional sheet with a planar netting. SOLUTION: A corrugated netting 2 and a planar adsorptive sheet 1 are bonded to each other to obtain a honeycomb body 3 by lamination. Further, an air to be treated containing an organic solvent vapor is blown to the honeycomb body 3 from a direction where the corrugations of the corrugated netting 2 are not visible. Consequently, the air passes through the mesh of the corrugated netting 2 to generate a turbulence due to the mesh. Thus the air to be treated certainly runs into a planar adsorptive sheet 1 and the organic solvent vapor contained in the air is adsorbed into the adsorptive sheet 1. Therefore, when the functional sheet is the adsorptive sheet 1 or the catalytic sheet, the air passing through the honeycomb body 3 comes into contact adequately with the adsorptive sheet 1 or the catalytic sheet to enable fully displaying of the adsorptive or catalytic function of the sheet.</p> |
