CONTROL SYSTEM FOR BLENDED PILE FABRIC KNITTING MACHINES

Knitting machine for producing simulated fur fabrics in which the pattern is not repeated along the length or width of the fabric is provided with >=2 fibre feeding devices which feed the different fibres to a knitting station at which the fibres are knitted into the backing of the fabric under the control of a program device which predetermines the pattern. Program device is provided with feelers which sense the control program to produce respective signals which are received by control devices controlling the supply of the fibres to determine the quantity of each kind of fibre that is to be supplied to the knitting station ro produce the predetermined pattern.
