PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain eveness in working operation, continuation, multiproduction simultaneously by performing simultaneous working by use of a correction ring for diamond polishing while working a workpiece in a single-face diamond polishing step. SOLUTION: A work holder 10 made of aluminium material is of a ring having a larger inner diameter than an outer diameter of a pressure plate 40 and provided with recesses for controlling a load applied on diamond pellets 20. The pellets 20 of a metal bond type corresponding to JIS400 are fixed in the holder 10 at equal intervals. The holder 10 is fixed to a flat surface grinding machine with the pellets 20 fixed at the lower surface, and with the pellet 20 surfaces ground, a correction ring for diamond polishing 400 is finished. On the grinder 90 a carrier is placed, then a workpiece is put therein, and a ring 440 is placed to surround the carrier. A plate 40 is lowered onto the workpiece and fixed into the ring 400, then a polishing operation of a single- surface polishing machine 300 is carried out. Accordingly, with the condition of the grinder kept constant, the maximum working quantity is assured simultaneously. |
