PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bean sprout purifying unit, which efficiently removes unnecessary parts, e.g. shells, lees and fine roots, from bean sprouts. SOLUTION: This unit rakes up bean sprouts by a raking-up conveyor 1 and drops them onto an endless flat belt 6, which is slanted toward the conveyor 1 and supported by a vibration frame 3. The bean sprouts dropped onto the endless flat belt 6 are sent downward while being vibrated by the vibration frame 3 in the blank arrow direction to be dropped onto the lower endless flat belt 6. Unnecessary parts of the bean sprouts, e.g. roots and lees, are stuck to, and sent by, the endless flat conveyor 6, to be removed by a scraper 12. The purified bean sprouts are discharged from the unit at the lower end of the lowest endless flat conveyor 6. |
