PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adjusting device for the deflection fitting tool of the safety belt device of vehicle allowing a sliding carriage to be locked on a rail very surely. SOLUTION: This adjusting device is provided with a rail 10 fixed to a vehicle and having a base section 30 with a stop means and front portions 36, 38 extended to face the base section 30, a sliding carriage 12 displaceable in the rail 10, a manually releasable stop mechanism capable of restraining the sliding carriage in the rail 10 in cooperation with the stop means, and a lock element 40 functionally independent of the stop mechanism. The adjusting device couples the lock element 40 with the rail 10 from the rest position where the lock element 40 is not coupled with the rail 10 and fixes the sliding carriage 12 not to move in the specific direction. Each stop means has at least one protruded stop tooth 38, and the lock element 40 has a contact face 46 facing the base section 30, a support face 49 facing the a front portion 34, and a central region 42. |
