<p>The vehicle ball joint manufacturing method comprises introducing the ball joint (14) into a cylindrical socket (22) delimiting a blind cavity. The socket is then deformed by cold axial compression followed by a crimping operation forming inside the socket a hemispherical basin (38) for retaining the ball. The steel ball has a hardness greater than that of the body. A shock absorber (36) is inserted between the bottom of the cavity and the ball joint before the crimping operation.</p> |
