PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a printer in which the data of each line used for other processing can be used for smoothing processing by employing exclusive OR for the n-th line data and the (n+1)th line data of an input image data. SOLUTION: A data detection circuit 37 at the prestage of a smoothing circuit 22 comprises a memory 28 for storing one line of image lines read read out line by line from an RAM, and an EXOR circuit 29 for exclusively ORing the (n+1)th line data read out from the RAM and the n-th line data read out from a memory 28. An image data subjected to exclusive OR by other processing circuit including the data detection circuit 37 is converted using an EXOR circuit 30 and a line memory 31 to produce an image data which can be also be used as an image data prepared in the RAM by the CPU. |
