A process for producing a solar cell comprises the steps of; forming at least one electrode (11,12) on a first surface of a semiconductor substrate (10) for constructing a solar cell, attaching a support substrate (14) to the first surface of the semiconductor substrate (10) on which said electrode (11,12) is formed, and then thinning said semiconductor substrate (10).
