<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cheaply producing an artificial unburned-type lightweight aggregate having a low bulk density, a high strength and low water absorption by using a coal ash, a cement, calcium sulfate and a sawdust of a lightweight foamed concrete. SOLUTION: This method for producing an artificial lightweight aggregate comprises adding a sawdust of a lightweight foamed concrete to a pulverized materials obtained by mixing and pulverizing a coal ash, a cement and calcium sulfate, and mixing pulverized materials with the added sawdust, wet-kneading the obtained mixture, optionally molding the wet-kneaded product, and subjecting the wet-kneaded product to a high pressure steam curing or a normal pressure steam curing, and further subjecting the cured product to the high pressure steam curing. An organic silicon compound can be imparted to the surface of the aggregate obtained in this way, and dried.</p> |
