A method of sealing and repairing leaks in fuel tanks using corrosion resistant coatings, insulation and filling compounds involves pouring liquid sealant over an area within the tank to be sealed, then sucking the sealant through leak paths in the tank by a portable extractor appliance having a face modified to fit over external surfaces of the tank and comprising a square-section pipe having air holes 8 drilled along its length for connection via three air lines 7 to a vacuum pump. |
