PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost printer for conducting an operation of driving a blanket cylinder with a high accuracy and a high reproducibility while receiving and transferring only by pulleys, a cylinder and a wire without using a motor, a reduction gear, a ball screw, a motor driving transmission and the like, a method for printing and an image forming apparatus using it. SOLUTION: In the offset printer, a wire 27 fixed at its one end to a blanket cylinder 8 is wound plural times on the cylinder 8, and fixed at its opposite one end to a pulley 28 to be windable. The pulley 28 is fixed to a rotary shaft, and an another one pulley 29 is fixed to other position of the shaft. A new wire 30 is fixed at its one end, and fixed at its opposite end to a cylinder 26. When the cylinder 26 driven in one direction, the cylinder 8 is driven by the wire. When the cylinder 26 is driven in another one direction, the cylinder 8 is driven in its reverse direction by pushing a table 4 by an end of the cylinder, pushing back the table 4. |
