PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device preventing deterioration of a failure of a paper feeder by unabling use of a paper feeding step with a high ratio of jam generation. SOLUTION: If paper 17A can not be detected by a paper feeding cassette paper non-feeding detection device 60 within two seconds or below, for instance, from a paper feeding starting order to a cassette paper feeding, it is decided to be a paper non-feeding jam. If this paper non-feeding jam are generated at a prescribed ratio or more, it is decided to be a failure of a paper feeder (paper feeding cassette) 17 and the paper feeding is stopped and only a paper feeding from a manual paper feeder MF is performed. The failure is notified to a user by a display device. |
