PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the contents of a video game device by adopting a way of presentation different from the existing one for the display of a character going into/out of a room. SOLUTION: In this video game device, the visual display is changed from a view outside a building 51 to a view 53 inside the building when a player operates the device to move a character displayed on the monitor screen into the building 51. The video game device has a detecting means and a control means. The detecting means is to detect that the operation of moving the character into the building 51 is made by a player. The control means is to change the visual display from the view outside the building to the view inside the building by displaying a scene in which the outside of the building is fallen down on the ground when the detection is made by the detecting means, then displaying a scene in which the components of the inside of the building fallen on the ground are erected. |
