<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently attract a medium by a carrier belt, to lower required attraction voltage and to enhance efficiency. SOLUTION: This device has a medium carrier means carrying a medium M and a suction means disposed by being allowed to abut on the medium carrier means and is for attracting the medium M on the medium carrier means. The attraction means is provided with a current preventing means preventing current from flowing into the attraction means via the medium carrier means. Because the attraction means is provided with the current preventing means, much current does not flow in the attraction means via the medium carrier means in a part where the medium M does not exist, even if a resistance value of the attraction means is made small. Sufficiently effective voltage can be generated in the thickness direction of the medium M and the medium M is sufficiently attracted by the medium carrier means, regardless of the resistance value and width of the medium M.</p> |
