Aluminum container system for magnetic disks

A container system for storing magnetic media disks is discribed. It is preferably made from an aluminum foil and comprises a tray portion and a lid portion. The tray has a bottom wall and side and end walls terminating in an outwardly turned flange and an open top, the flange having a continuous downwardly formed seat adapted to receive a lid portion. The tray end walls are also provided with shoulder members adapted to receive and hold a rod supporting magnetic disks. The lid portion comprises a top wall and side and end walls terminating in an edge flange adapted to sit within the continuous seat of the tray flange with a portion of the tray flange extending outwardly beyond the lid flange. The lid end walls also have shoulder members adapted to mate with the tray end shoulder members whereby the shoulder members of the tray and lid securely hold the magnetic disk rod therebetween.
