1535422 Stable polyester moulding and coating compositions CHEMISCHE WERKE HULS AG 24 Feb 1976 [24 June 1975] 30405/78 Divided out of 1535421 Heading C3P A stable polyester moulding or coating composition comprises (a) an unsaturated polyester, (b) a vinyl or vinylidene monomer copolymerizable with (a), (c) a tertiary aromatic amine, (d) a stabilizer and (e) 0À1 to 6% based on the weight of (a) plus (b) of a basic compound which is an alcoholate or a carboxylate and which being soluble in the mixture of (a) plus (b) or in a form in which it is soluble in the latter. Examples describe the curing with addition of benzoyl peroxide of aged compositions comprising a polyester derived from phthalic anhydride, propane diol and dipropylene glycol; styrene, hydroquinone, toluhydroquinone, bishydroxyethyl p-toluidine and one of sodium acetate, palmitate or amylate butylate and potassium palmitate or butylate. |
