The subject of the invention is a furrowed roof shingle element incorporating lower roof shingle boards 2, 2a and upper roof shingle boards 3, which are fixed to each other, overlapping from their edges, such that the lower roof shingle boards are at a lower level than the upper roof shingle boards, which furrowed roof shingle element incorporates a connecting piece 1 for attachment to the roof construction, and on the lower roof shingle boards there has been formed a fastening part, corresponding to the connecting piece 7, for connecting the roof shingle elements to the connecting piece. In the roof shingle element according to the invention, at least one lower roof shingle board 2a has been attached with fastening members 8 to the connecting piece 1, since the unattached roof shingle boards are liable to move in the lateral direction of the roof shingle element. <IMAGE>
