The present invention relates to a method for coupling at least two Web site s. The method is comprised of the steps of, via a Web browser program running o n a computer, establishing contact with a first Web site comprising plural Web components, wherein each component is accessible through a respective filename; and, via the Web browser program, establishing contact with at least one second W eb site comprising plural Web components, wherein at least some of the components ar e each accessible through the same filename as a corresponding component of the fir st Web site. The method further includes simultaneously displaying, in respective windows on a screen of the computer, Web components of the first Web site and the secon d Web site, wherein at least one displayed Web component in each the window displa y has an embedded HyperText link; and upon designation of any displayed Web component having an embedded HyperText link, retrieving and concurrently displaying corresponding information from both Web sites.
