FIELD: drying machinery and equipment. SUBSTANCE: this is intended for drying vegetation products such as vegetables, berries, fruits, medicinal plants, grasses. It allows for ensuring optimal drying process conditions. Drier has two chambers which are interconnected and open at opposite sides. First chamber from its open end accommodates following components: plenum fan, overflow valve, diaphragm which changes cross-sectional area of chamber at point of its installation, and heater. Second chamber contains rotating drum made of perforated material and used for holding vegetation products being subjected to drying. Rotating drum is separated from chamber walls by flexible liners. One of liners is fixed with clearance between it and drum so that value of this clearance can be varied from beyond drier limits. Outlet part of second chamber made in the form of gas refrigerator is located inside first chamber. Located at outlet of second chamber is condensate detecting facility. Heating process condition is controlled in each chamber by means of two temperature control facilities. Application of aforesaid embodiment of cyclic-action drum-type drier ensures control of drying process together with reduced power-input. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 dwg
