The oven plate evaporator with has press-stamped, profiled plates, joined together to form heat exchanger elements each with U-shaped flow channels, and interconnecting headers. The headers are divided along their axial length by at least one partition plate, and at least one is has an injector pipe (20) held by an end plate (15) and partition plate (23). The end plate (15) may have a conical hole (22) for engaging, locating and sealing against a corresponding surface (21) on the injector pipe.
