A power generation system that improves the conversion efficiency from thermal energy to electric energy. The power generation system comprises a first thermoelectric converter which generates electric power by utilizing the difference between the temperature in the combustion chamber of a boiler (39) and the temperature of the water supplied from feedwater heaters (43, 45) to the boiler (39); a second thermoelectric converter which generates electric power by utilizing the difference between the temperature of the steam supplied from a turbine (41) attached to the feedwater heaters (43, 45) and the temperature of the water supplied from the steam condenser (35).
