Bituminous composition useful in motor vehicle construction

A heat-applyable bituminous composition contains a thermally-crosslinkable resin or reagent composition that is added at below 130 deg C. A process for the production of an acoustically effective bituminous composition (I) that is heat applied, preferably an anti-rumble noise composition for motor vehicles, comprises mixing bitumen, adhesion promoter, polymer, wax and non-crosslinkable resins at 130-180 deg C to form a homogeneous composition. The mixture is cooled to below 130 deg C and mixed with a thermally crosslinkable resin or thermally-crosslinkable reagent composition. An Independent claim is included for (I).
