Cigarette filter roll paper which is provided with a paper layer having a first surface and a second surface and which shows a first overlapping air permeability when measured with porous chip paper overlapped on the first surface and a second overlapping air permeability when measured with porous chip paper overlapped on the second surface, the first overlapping air permeability being higher than the second overlapping air permeability.
