STERILIZATION BY MAGNETIC FIELD STIMULATION OF A MIST OR VAPOR

A sterilization apparatus and method provides within enclosure (1) a low energy modulated magnetic field, generated by coils (3) into which is directed a fine mist or vapor of a sterilizing fluid from nozzle (9) for producing free radical states in the mist or vapor and therefore on a workpiece for destroying pathogens. The sterilizing fluid is pumped from bottle (6) by pump (7) to the nozzle (9) and may optionally be pumped through a heater (8) when a vapor phase fluid is desired.
