CLAMP FOR AN EXTERNAL BONE FIXATION DEVICE

The jaw for an external bone fixation device comprises a cuboid base body (1 ) with a first continuous bore hole (2) receiving a longitudinal support membe r (3) and a second continuous bore hole (4) perpendicular to the first bore ho le (2) through which it partially runs. The open end of a traction screw (5) fitted with a head (6) can be inserted into the second bore hole (7), whereb y the head (6) forms a stop on the base body (1). The open end of the traction screw (5) has a thread (8) which can receive a nut (9) that forms a stop on the base body (1). A cross hole (10) is located below the head (6) of the traction screw (5) to receive a means of bone fixation. The cross hole (10) can be brought into contact with the second bore hole (4) area by means of t he nut (9), whereby a means of bone fixation (11) inserted into the cross hole (1) can be brought to rest on the base body (1). The base body (1) is also provided with a thread hole (12) perpendicular to both the first and second continuous bore hole (2, 4) in order to receive a fixation screw (13). The diameter of the traction screw (5) is smaller than the diameter of the secon d bore hole (4) and the traction screw (5) can be brought into contact with th e second bore hole (4) area using the fixation screw (13) so that it rests on a tangent with the longitudinal support member (3).
