<p>The invention concerns a machine comprising a frame (1) mounted mobile above soil covered, for example with plants to be top-killed, and means (4) for heating the space included between the frame and the soil (2). The machine further comprises a bed (9) made of a heat insulating material arranged between said frame (1) and said soil (2), in the proximity of the frame (1), a space (10) being provided between said bed (9) and said frame (1) to enable cooling air to circulate in said space. Said air circulation can be forced by a ventilating fan (15) and constitute, around the frame (1), an air curtain isolating a hot steam bubble formed under the frame. The invention is useful for top-killing of potatoes, weeding, soil disaffection, and so on.</p> |
