<p>The invention relates to a device for holding a spectacle frame (37) and for scanning a facet groove in the spectacle glass openings (4) of the spectacle frame (37). Said device has a base plate (1) comprising two adjacent openings (2), and at least one tracer pin (15) which can be vertically displaced and which can be inserted into one of the openings (2). The inventive device also comprises two parallel clamping guides (11, 12) which can be displaceably guided on the base plate (1), and has interspaced clamping pins (19a, 19b) which are located on a clamping guide (12), which at least overlap a lower edge area (42), and which can move in double motion. At least one pin (8) is provided which is arranged on a spring-actuated swivel arm (7) and which can move in the plane of the base plate (1).
