The bicycle carrier has a rack (16) fixed to the vehicle on which the carrier frame (26) is mounted. Cantilevers (28) extend rearwards from it to support the bicycle. The carrier frame is suspended from the rack by means of at least one turning arm (20). The arm is mounted on horizontal turning axes (18, 24) running transversely to the direction of travel on the rack on one side and on the carrier frame on the other.
