The windscreen washing system has a heat exchanger to heat the washing water by means of the engine coolant. It includes an electronic washing water temperature switching device, which ensures that water is only supplied when it is above a minimum temperature. There is also a device (10) for at least partial collection and cleaning of the sprayed washing water, which returns the water to the tank. Another device automatically supplies an alcohol mixture corresponding to the current temperature data.
