While an information receiving device is receiving first content information through a connection provided in a communication network, and when a user makes one and only operation to instruct the information receiving device to receive second content information in place of first content information, the information receiving device cuts the connection for receiving the first content information and sets up a connection for receiving the second content information. Therefore, the network resource can be reserved or released without making the user conscious.
