<p>An epoxy coating composition for corrosion proofing which comprises an epoxy resin (A), a curing agent (B), preferably an amine curing agent, and an aromatic petroleum resin (C) which is prepared by polymerizing a cracked oil fraction having a content for indenes of 60 to 90 wt.% in the presence of phenols and has phenolic hydroxyl groups less than 1.0 per one molecule thereof, wherein the content of the petroleum resin is 1 to 500 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of the epoxy resin. The epoxy coating composition contains no tar and hence is usable for application to a part contacting with sea water.</p> |
