The method for preparing and leveling a high speed rail track involves supporting the track on a concrete base using special equipment to separate the concrete base from the underlying strata and lifting the complete track. This allows insertion of a controlled thickness of support layer (3) before the track is dropped back and compacted. The track is prepared and leveled in a continuous process.
