The stator can be adjusted by an axial screwing motion, using the inside thread of the casing (1) and the outside thread of the stator lining (2). The thread corresponds to the spiral of the pump cavity and the lining retains identical wall thickness right along its length as does the casing (1). Casing and/or lining have endstops (10,11,13) to prevent their screwing movement and the endstop (14) at one end of the stator can be removed by cutting.
