An ionization filter with a denaturing electrode comprises individual denaturing layers with different electrical resistances. The layer furthest away from the base plate has the highest electrical resistance and the nearest layer to the base plate has the lowest electrical resistance. The first layer (1) has a pH value of 1 or 14, layer (2) is neutral, layer (3) has a pH of 1 or 14, and layer (4) is a metallic base plate.
