The electric motor(1) is used to drive eg the rear-window wipers on a vehicle. It has a temperature sensitive control circuit connected to the windings and containing a temperature sensor connected directly to one electrical terminal of the control circuit. A part of the motor whose temperature depends on the motor state of overheating is connected into the circuit. The terminal connected to the temperature sensor is in good thermal contact with the hot part of the motor such that the heat from this part contributes to the sensor output.
