The battens are manufactured from profiled timber bars, with additional noses in the end faces. The miter faces for the batten rebates are formed from the noses. In glued profiled bars, the rebates are of outer optically high-quality timber layers. The battens are of longer overall length than the inner width of the finished door/window.
