The power transmission device (1) comprises a housing (2) accommodating a torque converter (3). The housing is connected with a driving shaft, eg. the crankshaft or an internal combustion engine. The housing is formed by a shell (4) adjacent to the driving shaft to which is welded (2a) a further shell (5) axially remote from the driving shaft. In the inner chamber (12) formed by the housing shells a rotary elastic damper (13) is incorporated, which provides a rotary elastic coupling of the output nave (14) with a driving part. A converter over-bridging coupling (15) is in series with the damper (13).
