PURPOSE:To easily and quickly inspect various kinds of bodies to be inspected by means of various flaw-detection probes. CONSTITUTION:The apparatus is constituted of a transmission circuit 3 and a reception circuit 4 which transmit and receive ultrasonic waves, of a control circuit 5 which controls them and which controls an image processing circuit 7, of an echo digitizing circuit 6 which digitizes a received signal, of an image processing circuit 7 which performs an image display and processing operation, of a display device 8 and of an external apparatus 11. Data on flaw-detection conditions which are matched to a flaw-detection probe, an object and a flaw- detection content is set and processed by the external apparatus 11, and it is changed into a table and stored in a storage circuit inside the control circuit 5. When the data corresponding to the flaw-detection condtions is selected in a flaw-detection, the data is set after it has been read out from the storage circuit at the timing of an ultrasonic transmission and reception operation. Since the data which is set by the external apparatus 11 can be stored and retained in a storage medium at any time, the flaw detection under all flaw- detection conditions can be performed easily. |
