PURPOSE:To provide a ceramic material having excellent heat-resistance and high toughness and strength without deteriorating the characteristic features of alumina, usable as a structural material and giving a composite ceramic material having dense and fine texture and remarkably improved mechanical properties such as bending strength. CONSTITUTION:The objective composite ceramic material is produced by dispersing 5-30vo1.% of fine TiB2 particles having particle diameter of <=2mum and 5-30vol.% of fine SiC particle having particle diameter of <=2mum in A$12O3 matrix crystal particles having particle diameter of 0.5-l0mum. |
